Prevention of fires is the main function of this department. Encouraging the public to follow fire prevention initiatives, creating awareness about hazardous materials, identifying, and preventing.
Emergencies, are the other tasks undertaken by this division.
The following work is also carried out by this division.
• Conducting inspections of premises listed under invasive trade.
• Regulation of fire safety requirements for proposed buildings.
• Improving fire regulations.
• Organization of fire and evacuation drills especially in high rise buildings.
Fires and related incidents occur at a very high rate almost every year. As a result, there are costly losses such as loss of life, building damage, and loss of customer confidence. The fire prevention department provides an active role and contribution to reduce and eradicate industrial accidents by introducing necessary procedures to prevent such accidents before they occur and ensure their safety.
